New Guy from Cali

Hello,

New guy here with an 2002 Suburban LT. Just picked it up and plan to use it as my hauling, camp, work vehicle.
My other cars include an 07 Range Rover Sport and an 08 Ford F150 supercrew 4 door. The Chevy is different in a different kinda of good way.
This is the 1st used car I've bought in a long time. It drives well and feels like a tank.

I needed something that could be abused without feeling guilty or cringe everytime I park in a crowded parking lot. It has some of thee amenities I have in my other vehicles that I like - heated leather seats.
Also, I can go crazy modding this truck -- Lift, carputer, winch, etc.Parts are incredibly cheap - $80 for a mirror online. Bumpers less than $200. I can live with that.
I wouldn't worry about it getting it dinged up in the bushes as I would with my Rover.

The truck is white and I don't know where to begin. My cars have always been blacked out and limo tinted. I'm heading over to cardomain to get some ideas.
White out grill? Chrome rounded gmc? black steelies or gun metal 18" with oversized tires? Snorkel and full safari baskets anyone? I'd love to rig it like an expedition vehicle.

First order of business is a heavy duty optima battery and some sort of xenon-projector kit.
Also, I'd like to get some ideas of ripping out part of the center console where the tape deck is. I wonder if I can put a single din stereo there and put a monitor in the 1.5 din.
