My new ride...

ok... so it ain't a show truck or anything. It IS however a new toy for me and I am loving it! It's a 2003 Silverado. The only thing I have done to it so far is change the seats up front. It had the base seat with the center jump seat that you can't fold over... So a trip to the boneyard netted me a new pair of CRUDDY seats/Console.

So far, I am loving this thing! Ind it only cost me an Olds Intrigue! I even swapped with a guy... my car for his truck. I think I got the better end of the deal!

nice... i love how the old chevys have the chevrolet lettering in the back... and i also think you got a better deal than he did... nice seats btw not too bad

The seats were $175 for all 3 pieces up front. The center jumpseat frame was bent BAD and the upholstery was NASTY! They had been stored in a junked box truck with a leaky roof.

When I took the upholstery off to put the sensors in the seats, I tossed the covers in the wash and they came out GREAT!

I will NEVER waste my time trying to shampoo seats again now that I know I can strip them in less than 20 minutes and just throw them in the wash!

One note about that, tho... They need to AIR DRY so they don't shrink!

i did not think that style head/tails came out untill late 04?

That body style began in '03. remember, though, that when GM changes the 1/2 ton truck body, the SUV and 3/4 tons don't change for another year.

remember the last year of the "old" 1990s bodystyle was 1998 for the half-tons, but it took until the 2000 model year to see the new body on the SUVs and 3/4 tons.
