New member with Suburban pics

Hey everyone, I've been cruising around the forums for a couple weeks now trying to learn more about my truck so I figured I'd introduce myself and put up some pictures. I'm 25 and am currently in the Air Force, stationed in horrible west texas. I only have a few weeks of service left so I'll finally be able to go home to my truck. I had to leave it in Florida with my mom because the drive up here would cost way too much money and leaving it at home means it won't get driven too much. It's a 1991 Suburban 1500 that was bought brand new by my dad and has travelled all over the states as well as a three year stay in Portugal. It has been through countless road trips, vacations, and hurricane evacuations. It's seen its share of dirt, mud, and snow and I can honestly say it has never gotten stuck. It's in great shape except for a few rust spots and only has 98,360 miles on the original engine and transmission. The truck was given to me the day I joined the Air Force, which was the same day my dad retired from it, so it was kind of a big deal all around. I definitely plan on driving it for a long time, possibly even giving it to my son...assuming I have kids...I love the Suburban because it is capable of anything and has never let me down. Here are some pictures, everything is from factory with the exception of the front seats and sound system.

My parents live just ouside of Coleman, so I know exactly where San Angelo is. Are you stationed at Dyess in Abilene?

Thanks! Yeah it's a beast alright. My friends have been calling it The Tank for years. One of the reasons I love it so much is that it's so damn big. I'm stationed at Goodfellow AFB in San Angelo and I can't wait to get out of here.

Nice looking suburban, there's not too many that are that clean up here in the northeast.

Nice ' burban and pretty low miles. My '04 has 109,000 miles, so yours is just getting broken in! I don't care where you get stationed in the service, it usually "sucks". Of course you are comparing it to your home in Fl. (apples to oranges)! Have fun on your way home!

That's a great deal and a nice truck mang!! Looks like a little freshening up and some paint and it will be uber sweet! Seems like most of that body style are pretty beat on by now! And heck, I though 112K on my '97 was low mileage!

Welcome to the site, nice looking Suburban. I was not too far from you this past weekend. I was at my deer lease in Paint rock (just east of San Angelo off of FM 765). I saw three C-130's fly over the lease Friday morning around 9:30 or 10:00 coming from the San Angelo direction, was that you?
