Default 5.3 will LS1 heads work?

I am looking at buying a new set of heads for my 2005 chevy with 5.3. I have been told that the LS1 heads will bolt right up and connect to everything. Is this true? Also if the heads were made for a 350 wont the chamber be partly cover and restricted. Someone said that i may have to bore the block so that the heads will be able to work correctly. I am very confused as i here a different story from several folks. I would love to hear if someone has done this and how it worked, or you guys tech knowledge and advice. I am new to the site but love it so far.

I am going to vote "No" on that one. For many years, all of the "Small Block" Chevy motors had interchangable parts, but the new engine design is totally different from the older Small Block engines. I don't believe that the parts are even remotely interchangeable.
