    Default 2008 excessive oil consumption

    I have a 2008 silverdao that makes oil vanish. I try to change the oil every 3k and loose 1 qt of oil. This time i went longer6k and lost 2 qts. No leake, no snoke, just looses oil. I have used full synthetic since day 1(5w30). Dealer is clueless, no suggestions from them. I am original owner so this is my baby. Any ideas?

    welcome to the site .. i find it hard to beleve that the dealer has no clue .. that should not be happening to a truck that new how many miles does it have

    I dont know the anser to your question but im sure others will chime in later

    If I were you I would keep hounding the dealer to figure it out and if they can't, take it to another dealer because you don't want to have to pay for costly repairs yourself down the road after your warranty runs out.

    I have 30K on the truck. They said they would have me come in and monitor the oil consumption. aka they dont know what to do about it.
