I need to put a throttle body spacer on my 2000 silverado 5.3 L and i know you have to unhook the cruise control cable and accelerator cable but i was curious do you have to adjust them once you put the spacer on. Let me know or email me at chevyman427@comcast.net thanks.
I just installed a throttle body spacer on my 2000 Tahoe. I didn't need to disconnect the cables on mine, I just took the front bolt out of the bracket to lift the entire assembly. You should not need to adjust the cables after installation although the instuctions state that you may have to. Mine was a 1" spacer. Installation took 10 minutes.

As TahoeCrowe said, the control cables are a piece of cake. Even if you remove them, the adjustment shouldn't be lost. It's the fuel lines that can be a bother.
Are we having fun, yet?
Aight i wasnt sure, i was looking to add some low end torque to it. Its a 1 inch spacer too so hopefully i can do it in 10 minutes too. Thanks alot
