Default eBay Success!!! Hypertech Max Energy programmer

I am the proud new owner of a Hypertech Max Energy programmer!! I found a deal on eBay and, thanks to some great tips from another thread I started here, I won!! I set my max bid and just barely beat em out! I got it for $265 after shipping and shipping insurance. I'm freakin excited!!

Congrats! But not to rain on your parade hopefully its not as bad as my experience I bought a superchip off ebay when it got here it was still in the box looked brand new. When I went to go plug it in it booted up and had came up with some sort of error I called superchip and they told me it was something faulty with it the owner before used it and broke it and that there is nothing they could do for me. Again though I hope it works for you im still looking for one I would love one hope it works out better for you though.

Did you contact the seller? In cases like this you contact the seller and tell them the item is defective and you'd either a) like to get a refund or b) get a replacement. If they fail do to either you are then able to contact eBay and tell them the situation. They will then take action against the seller if the situation is not made right.

Also (not pertaining to you, but others that may be looking into an ebay purchase at some point) look at the seller's feedback! I take caution with anyone that has a lower than 98% feedback rating. 97% and below I don't even bother purchasing from. 98%-ish I take a look at the negative feedback. Oftentimes it's got just a very few negative feedbacks and more often than not they are feedbacks like "didn't fit my truck and it broke when I tried to put it on!" and you notice they bought a grill for a '99 fiero or "the item is missing pieces and seller refuses to refund my money!" and looking at the item description clearly shows a paragraph that says "open package, missing usb cable".. etc etc. With almost no exceptions those people that leave that kind of feedback have a very very minimal amount of time on ebay and/or have bought very few items.

But, as with anything, it's always a gamble, for sure!

Congrats again on the purchase. Let us know how it's working!!
