I am having a heck of a time installing GM splash guards on my 05 Silverado. I wasn't expecting any trouble, but the bolt you must remove underneath the fender then run through the splash guards isn't anywhere near long enough to even start to thread into the retainer. Just wondering if anyone has done this.

which type of splash guard did you get? i got the molded ones for mine and they came with new bolts for up under the fender. I did have one hell of a time putting the front ones on though.

I got the molded ones from GM and did not come with longer bolts. Instructions said to use the exising hardware. I ended up using the longer bolts from the rear fender splash guard installation. But I still ended up having to barely start the bolt and slot the splash guard hole. I spent way more time installing the splash guards than my nerf bars, which I didn't expect.

I believe the ones for the rear didnt come with new bolts and wanted me to use the old ones, but the front ones came with longer bolts to put in.
