I started to re-bulid 4 years ago but time and money became an issue. Now the poor thing is starting to fall apart and I need to save her. I already have 2001 rims and custom exaust. Had a proformace shop rebulid orignal engine bored .20 over, crane came and lifters, high output oil pump and had the heads tweaked (have no idea what they did but guy very trust worthy) to lean more towards fuel miliage with a little pep low to mid range. I just need to put it in. Question, has any one ever delt with the change over kit from TBI to multi-port fuel injection? Saw one listed in Edelbrock catalog and was wondering if any one had any luck with it and if its worth the 2000.00+ for it.

i have heard that they are not really worth it for the money. the power gains are not that big and the gas mileage isnt much better either. however, i also heard that the more you have done to your motor the more it will help you out tho and since you have work done to yours it may make a nice difference.

they only alter Fuel Mileage by about 2 miles a gallon...that's if your truck is running Prime Condition. My buddy bought that kit from Edelbrock for his 92' Chevy 4x4, in hopes of getting better than 12 MPG. After that, he still had to swap front and rear gears and upgraded to the 4l60e trans for the extra gear AND underdrive pulley's to bring the RPM's down and finally come out to crank the original 16 MPG.

can't really see where you'd get much difference out of a MPFI over TBI they are both fuel injected , I wouldn't go to the expense myself , but that just my opinion.
