i have a 2003 chevy silverado. i am trying to find out what it is that i need to do to adjust my tie rods. i have went through 2 tires in three months on the front right tire and the shop said it was due to the tie rods. i know alot about my truck but this is one thing that i dont want to spend the money on to get fixed and would like to do myself. can anyone help me?

replacing tie rods isn't so bad it's keeping the alignment true that is hard. If you replace them yourself you should definitely get an alignment after. all the rod ends I've done I just marked there original location with some red paint and reset it to there. Then got an alignment. If you have a technical school in the area they can usually do the alignment for a huge discount if not for free. They like to get the experience for th students.
