Aftermarket wheels screwing up TPMS

Gents,

I have aftermarket wheels on my wife's '07 Suburban and just after the dealer flashed the PCM for a recall, the tire pressure monitoring system keeps calling out low pressure in the rear tires. The dealer claims no accountability and won't touch it because I have aftermarket wheels. Anybody got a fix?

Everything was fine until the dealer did the recall, yet he's dug his heels in and refuses to hellp. No, I won't be going back to that dealership in the future (Huffines, Plano).

You can get the TPMS to relearn the tire positions yourself. I would try that first. The process is really simple: I did it today when I swapped on my winter rims:

Choose the option in the DIC to relearn the sensors.
The horn will beep twice.
Let air out of the driver front tire until the horn beeps once.
Let air out of the passenger front tire until the horn beeps once.
Let air out of the passenger rear tire until the horn beeps once.
Let air out of the driver rear tire until the horn beeps twice.
Done!

as for the lame dealer If it was me Id be making some phone calls to the "guys in the offices"

Re-calibrating was nice and easy, but didn't fix the warnings, unfortunately. Is the next step to remove the tires and try to re-position the sensor?

We finally got a fix for the TPMS alarms on the rear tires. I called the original dealer who installed the wheels when the truck was purchased (out of state) and the service manager said the guy at Huffines (Plano, TX) doesn't have a clue and to try another service department elsewhere.

We took the truck to Stonebriar Chevrolet in Frisco, TX and the service manager there didn't bat an eyelash. Three hours later we picked up the truck and it was perfect. The fix was re-flashing the PCM (other guy may have done it wrong?)...no big deal.

When we got our quality follow-up call from Huffines in Plano, we gave them all poor marks. Stonebriar in Frisco will get all 5 stars and they just earned a customer. They even washed the truck before returning it! That's the first time an American auto dealer has done that for me!

Try another dealership. I have to get my PCM flashed when I put new tires on. I already talked to the dealer, they say its no problem and will only take a few minutes.
Has your tire pressure changed between the new and old tires? For instance me rear tires are supposed to be at 80 PSI and the fron ones are supposed to be at 60 PSI. Once I do the tire swap I have to get the PCM flashed for all tires to be at 60 PSI.
