    Default new guy

Hi all, I'm new here, picking up my 08 Crew Cab 1500 LTZ tomorrow. Last ride was an 01 Dodge Dakota, so I'm looking forward to having a full size truck and the MUCH better aftermarket support...
Pics of the new truck soon!

yeah, i got the dakota in 06 with exactly 100k miles, has 156k miles now and things are starting to go wrong, figured it was time to upgrade with me graduating from college in 4 months. That and get rid of it before the trans blew completely... definitely liked the power and handling of the new truck in the test drive

Welcome to the site. You'll love the chevy versus the dakota. Mine friend has a 08 dakota and everytime we are in it i can't wait to be back in the roomy interior of my chevy. Plus the Powere difference. But I also have the 8.1L. Soi guess that's unfair to him.

to the forum! I know how it feels going from compact to full size. My previous truck was a Ford Ranger. Definitely a step up!

Well, picked up the truck today at noon, and absolutely love it.

Not noticing too much of a power difference between the 5.3 and the 4.7 my dakota had in it with the weight increase... I'm sure its faster, but doesn't feel that much faster. Still have to do the performance mods though

Oh yeah, the size is a little strange to get used to... I'll manage somehow though. Like seeing over (or through) everything on the road now! Definitely like the feel of the larger truck though, not to mention the increase in interior room!

The main thing I've had to adjust to is parking. Definitely can't swing into the spots I could in my Ranger, but the pros outweigh the cons exponentially!
