I have a 2008 ext. cab z71 4x4 and will be installing a readylift leveling kit (2.25") at the end of the week. My truck came with the factory 18" wheels and I was going to see if anyone had any experience with these particular tires.
Nitto Terra Grapplers 275/70r18 overall height 33.27" overall width 10.94"
Nitto Terra Grapplers 285/65r18 overall height 32.52" overall width 11.22"
BF Goodrich 285/65r18 overall height 32.7" overall width 11.5"
The overall heights and widths are straight from each manufacturer's website. The leveling kit says you can fit 33" tires without rubbing. Do you guys think these are good choices? Do you recommend any other tires?
Thanks

Nitto's are soft and wear quickly. I would definitely go with the BF's

When the manufacture says no rub there is often a different rim on the vehicle. One with back space. I have 29" tires stock - probably 9 inches or so in width and am within about 1.25 inches or so before I rub. Ask the tire dealer to slap on a tire, put the truck on the ground and check for rub before you proceed.

the nittos are a bit softer but i have seen them wear decent on lighter trucks that dont haul much of a load, i would NOT put them on anything over a 1/2 ton, that being said i would still go with the BFGs, i think you should be happier preformance wise
also check out the yohohama geolander ATs and the pirelli ATRs, those are another 2 tires that i would recommend

I would go with the BFG's they will last a lot longer than the nittos.![]()

I'm Toyo all the way. The M/T's wear like iron and look really aggressive. The A/T's are nice too.

I would go with the BFG AT as well. they are a little more aggressive but look cooler and wear better and grip better. the Nitto are good but as they said are softer and wear quicker. my choice is the BFG

Thanks for all the feedback. Looks like I will be going with the BFG's in due time. I'll be sure to post some pictures whenever it is all completed.
