    Default tire size question

I just got a leveling kit and am very happy with it but the 245 tires are killing me. I'm thinking of going with either 265/70/17 or 285/70/17 BFG A/T on stock rims to start. Price difference is about $230. I will obviously get better gas mileage with the 265's and the gear ratio for towing would probably be better with 265's as well. Also, if I want to get aftermarket rims I won't have to worry about rubbing with 265's like I would with 285's. But...the 285's would fill out that wheel well so much better. What do all of you think? Thanks

My '04 came with 265R70x17s and I would think that you wouldn't have any problem with that size. You probably wouldn't have a problem with the 285s after you put on the leveling kit.

I think the 285's should fit fine after the leveling kit and will fill out the wheel wells nicely.
