Ok taxes are getting closer and I am in for a huge return. I would like a small lift on the 99 burban. Can anyone give me real world experiance with a 2" torsion and rear block lift or 3' suspension lift. Pros and cons. DIY or shop. Not really a heavy off roader but do lots of camping and would like the clearence to get to a few more places. Am also looking at going to a 33" tire

If your gonna lift it, put on a 4 inch lift in. If your not comfortable doing it yourself have a shop do it.

i would recomed a 3 .. just getting spindels, shocks, blokcs and bigger u bolts.. that would be cheaper ..
not sure of any cons or pros..
no 1st hand expericence here though....
what tires are you lookin into?

4" inch if your wanting to go deeper into the wilderness for camping, better for the ruff terrain and the 33" tires. Several companies, Rancho, TrailBlazer, SkyJacker(new company?), but purchase all equipment at one time, better prices then pieces one at a time. Do you have another vehicle to drive while you work? If so, do you have the tools necessary to do the deal? If so, then I would do it myself. But if you lack the nescessary skills and equipment then take it a shop.
Here in Tampa, there are several good truck shops that offer a variety of lift kits and the shop to do the work, some even with a warranty. There are uno's of Jack'd trucks here........

i know I want 33" tires, i dont really want a mud tire as i deal with snow here in MN but I dont care for BFG tires either, maybe coopers or duellers but like i said i need a good on/off-road tire that can handle snow as well and i want 18" rims any tire suggestions??
