I have an 03 gmc sierra with a Hypertech Programmer and the hypertech allows settings all the way up to 212mph i think. But I have mine set on 130mph. I have done close to 130 a few times and it hasnt blown. (knock on wood) I love it and would recomend it to anyone. I payed $405 for mine and its worth every penny.

Alot of people like the hypertech or superchips . You can also get a Mail order tune from Wheatly...he is a great tuner http://www.gowheatley.com/ I use a HP tuner and you do alot more thing but you blow things up very Fast . If you do not know what to do with it . On the Max speed Not sure on a hypertech .

Stock speed limiter is at 96 on my diesel. I have it set on 200 even though I have not seen 100 on my truck.

Here is a link explaining tire speed ratings: Tire Tech Information
I have a Hypertech Max Energy, but left my speed limiter alone. I've gone about 96 and didn't hit a limiter, and I figured I have no need to go any faster than that.
