    Default Removing the speed governor on silverado?

    Hey all , my first post here, anyways... I would like to know how to go about removing the 93 MPH speed governor on my 2008 Chevy Silverado? I have no clue where to get started or what to do so i was hopeing someone can provide me with some information on this. Thanks

    You need to buy a power programmer to the tune of 400 bucks give or take a few.

    whats a good programmer? also is it pretty easy to do?

    i would reccomend hypertech or superchips

    its simply "plug and play" easy to do .. less than 10 min!

    whats the max speed it could do? without flippin over? lmao.. would it do anything bad to the engine to go faster than 110?

    im not sure.. you also need to take into consideration the speed rating on your tires.

    You need not buy anything did mine ez top speed is c180mph at 5345rpm I use high speed tires due to My job. Sometimes you have a nut to chase down to arrest.

    yeah you need a programmer or take it to a tune shop that can adjust it for you

    I am a retired electrnic enginerr. On my 2007 All I did was remove the gov. chip and eplace it with a RCT43XZ1 restior and My max speed is 141mph at 4825rpms. I had no need in waseting money on no kind of programer. I have also done two other trucks the same way. a 2005 AND 2006
