    Question PLEASE HELP 06 Silverado wheels

    I need help. I have a 06 silverado WT. I am looking for wheels and tires. I want to put mt classic 2 16x10 wheels with bfg mud ta km 33x12.5 tires. some people say i can put the 16's on it others say no it will hit the brake rotors. anyone have 16 on there ride please let me know. thanks

    Most wheel manufactures will have a tech department to let you know if they will fit

    I was thinking that the '06 came with 16" wheels, except for the 4x4 versions.

    yea mine is 4x4 with the steal 17" wheels but i guess if the 2wd comes with 16 mine should be able to also right

    mines not an 06 but i have 16s mines a 04 dunno how much diffenrence there is

    It should fit. My friend has a dmax with stock 16's on it. It's an 07.

    I was taught that even if 16's would fit, going lower reduces the gap in between the brake calipers/rotors which will cause the heat coming off the brakes to radiate at higher temps. It gets hot enough as it is, no reason to set the oven to extra crispy

    I don't know how valid the potential problem can be, but I would personally rather not risk it.


    BTW, My 2007 Classic (2WD) came with 17's.

    thanks for the comments. I guess i will just go with the mt classic 17x9 or the eagle 058 17x10. i will post picks in a week or so check it out and tell me what you think.
