New to the forum... I have a question. I have a stock 06 chevy crew cab z71 short box that is due for tires. I woud like to increase the size. I currently have 265 75r 17. What are the biggest tires I can put on it without a lift?

Im not sure what size you can get on there, somone else will chime in this afternoon, I do know that
You can crank down on your torsion bars to level the truck out and will be able to get much bigger on it. Have you looked into leveling kits?

No leveling kit but I did flip the torsion bars to level it and add space for larger tires. I am ready to buy tires now so I was wondering how large I can go...

If I'm not mistaken, you can go with a 33" tire once you have it leveled out. I don't have 1st hand experience, but the question gets ask quite often.

You can go with a 33. I say go with a 285/70R17 (about a 33" all tire) or a 285/75R17 (these will be about a 33.75" tall tire)

I'm new also. I run 285/70/17 Cooper STTs on my 06 4x4 with the t bars only cranked for about an inch over stock. Works great and absolutely love the tires

I run 285/70/17 firestone AT's but I 'm pretty sure you have to level the truck to fit 285/75/17 and they still may be tight
