Default Question on Tahoe Hybrid and adding aftermarket amp...can it be done?

Ok, I guess I should have posted this here.

I really like my Tahoe hybrid....I also went for the Hybrid because I got $15k off sticker. No joke.

However, I want a better sounding stereo system.

I want to buy a new system, including a new amp.

Since I have the hybrid, can I do this?

Would I still hook it up the traditional way?

Please help, I want to do it very bad but do not want to screw up anything with the hybrid system.

I would think that it's possible. However, a couple things must be kept in mind. First, you must tie into the 12 volt system in the car, NOT THE HIGH VOLTAGE FOR THE BATTERY PACKS. I'm assuming since it's a hybrid it has a 12 volt battery and alternator to keep it running. You may have issues with the battery going dead or losing range on the batteries. I'm not quite sure. I'd venture to say that you don't want to get too big of an amp since batteries play a much larger role in moving the vehicle. Just a few things to keep in mind...

The hybrid set-up is new ground for me. I couldn't tell ya. That may be a good question for your dealer to answer. Hopefully there's someone here that can answer it!

    Thanks for the welcome!

Yes, I know it also has a 12v battery so my guess is it should be ok.

I know someone who works at Car Toys and he said they have done work on Escalade Hybrids before....

I am having a local install shop look into it for me.
