    Default Steering wheel getting stuck

Hey guys my steering wheel is getting stuck when I want to turn left. When I turn the wheel to the right its fine it never gets stuck but when I turn it to the left, it’s really hard to turn. Sometimes it turns fine but the majority of time it’s really hard. I checked the power steering fluid and its fine it’s not low. Does anybody know what can this problem be? How hard is it to fixed knowing the problem and how much am I looking at for the part. Thanks a lot guys

Jack the truck up in the air and get under it while someone turns the wheel (please use jack stands!) and see if the linkages are hitting anything. If not, then I would start looking at the steering rack and maybe the end links.

Type of truck(Make,Model,Year), has the failure be sudden or gradual? Any noise associated with the problem? Truck being maintained, origianl owner, purchased used? Have the necessary tools to perform diagnostics on the truck? Daily Driver, or have another vehicle while this is layed up? All above are a start, along with power steering jamming to one side, pitman arm, lack of grease and hard bind.....

My '99 Z71 did that and it was the stearing gear box, Bought one from the salvage yard for $75 and paid my mechanic $50 to put it on.

Check your tire pressure. May be as simple as an under inflated tire. It sounds like the problem I had last winter
