Default What's your area of expertise?

I went to school for Semiconductor electronics and work with motion controll systems, High Voltage and Pneaumatic systems all day long at work. So I'm pretty handy when it comes to wiring and custom setups. Also graduated from Vocational school with Honors and Highest achievement in Automotive tech. Also can scratch by with a welder. I'm not great but can get the job done. Was also a machinist for 2 years.

So anything that I can help answer I will give it my all with the Knowledge I have aquired over the years.

So lets hear about everyone elses backround.

Some day I hope to open my own custom shop. Would like to work on street/ strip cars not collectibles. I want to see my work actually get used.

Well, I'm good at identifying tree species and cruising timber, lol. I don't really consider myself an expert with anything vehicle related. I know my way around, and try to do as much work myself as I can, but I'm definitely a novice...advanced at best

I am an expert beer taster and master of cooking the prime rib!

Seriously though I went to college for 2 years for Auto body repair/refinishing and collision rebuilding. I took the accompanied classes - front-end alignment, automotive electricity, auto air conditioning, and welding (Combined with advanced welding classes from hi-school I was an industry certified welder).

I took classes as well later on for meat cutting and merchandising (I run a grocery store).

The Navy trained me as an Enviromental Egress Technician (Airconditioning, Pressurization, Flight gear and life support systems, oxygen systems, Ejection seats, and Explosive systems), then as SAR Swimmer, Load Master, Crew Chief, Quality Assurance inspector (aircraft and aircraft support equip.) Crime scene Detective/Police, Human resources/personnel, Aircraft Maintenance Control/scheduler, Cryogenic production/test specialist and QA inspector, and a few dozen other jobs.
I worked as a roofer and Tile setter for 2 years prior to the Navy.
Since the Navy I've been to school for Hospital equipment repair/installation (Ventilators, hospital beds and related equip., patient monitoring systems, and Lazer surgery equipment).
I've been attending courses at local colleges when time allows for auto repair (collision repair, engine building, trouble shooting, electrical systems, suspension repair/design, transmission repair/rebuilding) since 1984.
My parents owned a speciality vehicle shop while I was growing up that made expedition and scout vehicles, mostly for the goverment, I worked there for years as a part time job while I was stationed in Ca.
I'm kinda a jack of all trades master of none, if its mechanical i enjoy taking it apart and figuring out how it works.

Ok I've have a couple of different occupations, First I was a master mechanic for 20 years then I had a short carrier with the Philadelphia police department. Due to a service related injury I'm now retired. But I now sell Real Estate. I also have skills in many other things too.

I was a Morse Code intercept for 4 years (not a lot of call for this in the real world) after getting drafted into the Army in 1966, during my first year at Texas Tech. Worked for Dow Chem. 31 years as warehouseman; production technician; production supervisor; safety supv.; warehouse supv.; RETIRED. Not a lot of specific auto related, but I sure like to drive them!
