Personally, I didn't touch the rev limiter or shift points. Like you, I was afraid to screw something up, lol. Leave the gear ratio stock, unless you have changed out your rear end. I increased my shift firmness by 50%, and I like it. I haven't played with more or less firmness, but I like how it shifts at the 50% setting, so I haven't messed with it. Good luck! I'm sure you'll enjoy it as much as I've enjoyed mine!

Oh yeah, and there's no such thing as stupid questions

    I have a hypertech on my 03 5.3 v8.

    1. rev limiter?...First set it at 5800, drove with it for about a week. Then set it at 5900 and drove with it for about 3 weeks and yesterday I bumped it up to 6000rpm.
    2. rear gear ratio?...if yours is stock leave it alone.
3.the shift points ?..did you test drive it around to figure them out? Yes for a weeks. 1-2 left alone. 2-3 up 300rpm. 3-4 left alone. 1st gear revs out at 44mph, 2nd revs out at 83, 3rd revs out at 121, lol and I wouldn't recommend reving out 4th.
    4. shift firmness..I have mine set on 100%. But im also always in the peddle hard on my truck so I want the most out of it.

The only thing I don't like is my truck still seems to lack top-end. If anyone knows any bolt-on products to increase top-end power, im interested and would like to know about them.
