it's not window tint it's a paint that tints the lights they do also make films that go over your lights. eBay also have covers just put them over your lights like 30 bucks

so i ve been checking around and in so cal most places put on films over the light, and they want 150 for it, but some guy ended up selling me his old ones for 40 bucks, so i just stuck with those, and i kept the oem tailights for if i ever get a fix it ticket, ill post pics this week.

I've always used the VHT Niteshades SP-999. Here are a couple we've done:

ive always been afraid of one side being darker than the other... kinda anal i know but sorry lol
how about it i do the lights DARK and just leave the circles where the light will shine through red? at night the majority should still shine through right?

I did my wifes Durango with three coats and pretty much blacked them out several years ago. When she steps on the brakes or turns on her running lights, you can hardly tell they've been altered. The VHT works great. We sell probably 75 cans a month of the stuff. A lot of the people that tint taillights professionally use this same stuff (but wetsand and a couple other additional processes). I know because we send several of them cases every month...lol.
