Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and did a little searching before I decided to post this thread. Here is my dilemma:
I have a 2008 Ext Cab (not 4x4) with factory 20" rims and Goodyear Eagle tires. The traction is horrible and any time i've pressed on the gas a little too hard...I experience some fishtailing...etc. I would like to know what front lift kit and tires you all would recommend replacing these tires with. I wanted to keep the stock 20" rims, add a 2" lift and slap on a beefier and bigger tire. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I realize a 4" - 6" lift may be a little better, but I'm trying to keep myself on a low budget and see what I can do with a 2" lift and some bigger tires that will fit the stock rims. Any suggestions would be apprecieated!
Thanks!

Check ot 4wheelparts.com they have some good lifts and tires. You can also call them and someone can walk you through everything you want to do.

Welcome to the site! You might be able to just put a leveling kit on it to raise the front to run bigger tires.

you could get some different tires to stop the losing traction. A 2" lift isn't going to do anything much toward stopping it from breaking traction. goodyear has never made a tire that was good about sticking to the road on anything but occasionally soft corners. you need BF Goodrich, Yokohama, Pirelli, Kumoh or Furtura for the sticking to the road at high speed larger tires aren't going to do anything but throw off your speedometer and reduce your gas mileage.
Just some Food for thought.

i just got my bf at's not too long ago and a leveling kit from rough country and i highly recommend it... the lift and tires change the look and would definetely add that extra traction that your lacking

I highly recommend the BFG AT as well. they are an awesome tire in any condition you can throw at them and are aggressive looking. as for lifts look here:

Hey, well, if your looking for something for looks and a "little" bit better traction, than yes the bfg a/t is a great looking tire, but if u use your pickup in the littlest mud, then they might not be what ur looking for. I have them on my 00' silverado right now, and I hunt year round, so these tires get a lot of diff use. They are great on gravel and light sand, but they fill up w/ mud really easy, and no matter how much gas you give it, they dont clean out.I just ordered Toyos for mine, Ill let you know how it works out for me.
