Just curious if we have any members of the Lions club, American Legion, VFW (Veterans of Foreign wars), Freemasons, etc.
I have been going to Lions meetings with my Dad for a few months and will become a member on Monday.
Reminds me of the Flintstones Loyal Order of Water Buffalo.Lions do a lot of charitable work for the community and coming up this next weekend we will be puting together food baskets to hand out to needy families for the holidays. They also help with hearing and sight screenings at the local schools
But yes, after Monday I will be "Lion Darcy."

I help with my wife, she's former Marine and belongs to the VFW, American Legion and does the "Toys For Tots". So whenever she needs a helper I do what I can if it's not on the days I'm working, which quite often it is since most of my schedules are weekends, I take advantage of the one rotation that is not and cram in 6 wks of helper Guy.... It's for the kids and they need every bit of help they can get...

in my community, VFW is very active and since I run a grocery store we always help them out with whatever project they are working on. Great Organization!

I joined the Lions club some years back after going with my father as well. It's a great organization that really does alot of good. I've got to get back into the club here at our new residence as I always enjoyed myself with the Lions.
