    Default hard ride

    i have a lvling kit on my 05 silvaerado and it ride so stiff its annoying ...is there any trick of the trade i should know on how to soften it up thx

    Decent shocks will only soften the bounce. A full suspension lift will give you a softer ride but at a higher cost. If you are running bigger rims like 18" and up it will create a rougher ride as well.

    How much room do you have between the bump stop and the lower control arm? You need at least an inch.

    What kind of leveling kit did you get? I've heard of situations where people put a leveling kit and the shocks bottom out because the suspension travel is lengthened, so you need either longer shocks or shock spacers. My $0.02

    ok im gonna sound like a idiot but oh well...my buddy is a mechanic and i threw him a couple bucks to get it and put in the lvling kit now i guess im gonna have to go out there and take a look around...i thought everyone with a lvling kit would have the samething goin on.dont all the trucks come stock with the same size shocks?..and why would mine be having such a bad ride?...hmm ill take a look to see the spacing i guess of the stop right?..god i hate when i dont know what im talking bout

    a harsher ride is just a product of the leveling kit. I would recommend getting a little longer and better shocks like a bilstein 5100

    do you have a ballpark on what they might cost?and would i get them a lil longer?

    Yeah, the shocks will be a little longer, and should run around $50-75 each, depending on where you go.

    would the shock spacer be an option like mentioned earlier in the thread or shocks like the only way to help soften up te ride?
