I have a NBS 07 1500 silverado with the 5.3. I am wanting to put a new true dual exhaust and was talking to a couple of guys that did it with their pickup. One of them had a aftermarket one put on one and it started to act up. It wasn't running wrong and the AFM system didn't work right and he took it to a dealer and they couldnt fix it. So they made him put the stock system one back. I was curious if anyone else has had a similar problem. I don't want to put a aftermarket one on and have to change it back. Thanks

Never heard of this problem. The only thing that I can think of is that one of the two o2 sensors wasn't reading properly with the aftermarket system. I've had some exhaust systems that pushed the o2 sensor to a spot where it would rub the wires against the body when the motor torqued and eventually wore through the shielding which caused an open ground.
Never heard of a problem like this!

i wouldnt worry about something like like, i have a 07 NBS Sierra with a true dual straight pipe exhaust and have had no problems at all.
and as for the sound it makes....lets just say it turns heads![]()
