I need help. I have a 1994 fullsize 350 chevy P/U, runs fairly well when cold but dies and seems like it's getting no fuel when it warms up. It has 140K, so I can't complain. It's been the best truck, so I would like to keep it going. I have changed the fuel filter but no change. It just recently started this problem, not sure if the cold weather has anything to do with this.Any help is appreaciated!

It's possible that the catalytic converter is bad. To check it when it gets hot see if the exhaust gas coming out of the tailpipe is extremely hot, then the converter is shot.

I don't really know but maybe the O2 sensor is taking dump. ny check engine lights coming on?

Scan the engine and see what codes you are getting.
did this happen slowly over time and get gradually worse or was it like all of a sudden? EGR valve is a possibility.
Recently changed lugs & wires. New catalyic converter also. Still puzzled. Rpm's go up and down while idling cold. Please help.

EGR valve is looking more likely, its surging while its cold beause the computer is trying to adjust fuel flow according to the readings it gets from other sensors ( airflow, o2, cam position ect.) and it needs the heat from the exhaust gases to help the fuel stay in a fine mist form.
