Hi Everyone,
Finally I have some pics to show you! a few days after the flippage, the computer went down. Let me tell you I'm ready for this year to end! My local body shop says it would take about 12K to fix and that doesn't include any engine work. It was leaking oil when it was turned over, to be expected I guess.
I don't have that kind of money to put into it, I'm looking at replacing with a 2000 Tahoe. we'll see.
Anyway, here are some pics!

What a bummer! Looks like it was a nice Burban before.

Glad to see that you are ok, but seeing your truck like that makes me mad that I can't help out in getting it fixed. You have to be a strong person because I know that that is not something easy to go through. Just know that The Lord will make a way for you. When one door closes another one will open!

If memory serves me correctly, it was your son that was in there, right? And nothing major other than a few scrapes?
Well... then to answer your initial question with your previous post.. that certainly does look like it's totaled out for sure. I didn't expect it to look that bad from your description but that is just a LOT of damage. It seems as though all the sheet metal needs to be replaced and I wouldn't trust the integrity of the structure as a whole. I can't imagine the pillars were not affected by that roll, looking at the roof and windows.
It is a total bummer that insurance coverage wasn't enough to cover this accident (again - going with my memory here... was only minimum coverage, right?) but they surely would have just totaled this vehicle.
I know it's not much help to say 'glad everyone came out alright and that's the main thing' once you realize that everyone is ok but now you are stuck with a vehicle that needs some severe help.
Good luck with whatever you do.
thats sucks man, always sucks to see a perfectly good vehicle go like that. but gotta remember it was just a vehicle and lucky for us GM cars and trucks are very easy to get a hold of. like that tahoe you were thinking about. so the important thing is no one was seriously hurt and will live to ride in the new truck![]()
thanks everyone for you good words and thoughts.
Yes, we were blessed my son was not seriously injured in this roll. When I previously reported on the roll I was going on what he said, obviously the roll did more damage than I thought. The stinger for the hitch was just laying in the back and that's what took out the back side window. The doors are all tweaked so I'm sure the frame is compromised. I only had liability insurance so the guy at the body shop is trying to find a salvage yard that'll give me something for it.
Happy New Year to All!!
Diane
