Default anyone have power LOSS with cold air intake?

Have gotten a Airraid cold air intake tube and installed on my 2006 5.3 Silverado..Lost power and feels slower. Installed the stock air tube and WOW, power is back. No filter change, nothing different...Have tried it twice and nothing changed....

    Confusing!!!

Is the new intake creating an air restriction or something that is causing your loss of power? Warmer air isn't really going to hurt too much worse from the stock intake, but a resitrction in the amount and flow will. Did you have any sensors on the factory air intake that were not replaced/duplicated in the new air intake? Missing sensors could cause the computer to go into a default or limp mode.
