Question Auto Headlights don't come on in snow

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado 1500 2WD pickup. I've noticed that when it snows, the auto headlight function doesn't seem to work, and I have to manually turn them on. Do I have a blocked sensor somewhere?

    Thanks.Bob

I don't know anything about snow, so bear with me here.

It sounds like maybe it's just not dark enough to set off the sensor. I know there's only one sensor (the little dome on your dash in the center), so if they come on at night, you know it's working. I know down here if it's raining but still a little sunny out, mine won't come on.

Do you have a driver information center (the message center under your speedometer)? I set my daytime running lights there so regardless of the sensor, I always have the lights on.

No, it was dark enough. Driver Info center? Don't know what you're talking about. Is that an optional display? This truck has NO options at all, basically.

I'll look but I don't think there's any dome in the center of the dash either. (Mine's a 2007 Silverado)

    Thanks, Bob
