    Default 2002 Chevy Silverado

    I own a 2002 chevy silverado 1500. My abs light came on and the brake pedal get hard and my truck will barley stop it only does it for a second then its fine now the parking brake light comes on as well does anyone have any idea what the problem is.

    sounds like a abs actuator has gone bad, you will probably need to take to a shop to find the bad sensor, you can pull the the abs fuse under the hood to by pass this problem also.

    2002 Z71 Silverado, vent visors, tinted windows, line-x bed, leer bed cover, front and rear hitchs, rhino bull nose, 4 6.5 oval 100 watt off roader light, 3" suoerlift, 2400 watt power inverter, bushwhacker pocket flares, crystlux diamond plate rockers, oem size bridgestone dueler at tires(for now)

    Its not a sensor, the pedal wouldnt get stiff and the vehicle would still stop if it were a sensor. Its a brake vacuum line leak. Shouldnt be very expensive if you take it to a shop
