    Default new member in IL

    hey guys, im 21 and in may ill be going to basic training for the US Navy. i own a 98 gmc sonoma 4x4, i have put on a lund soft tonnau cover, flowmaster 40 series, and a K+N cold air intake. right now im saving up for a suspension leveling kit(lift) N E ideas?? Wheels and tires to follow that...well thats about it, give me a shout back!! thanks

    Welcome. my Son is in the Navy, first trip for you will be Great Lakes Mi, then to who knows where. My son is now in Gulfport MS, station there. He leaves for Afganhastan in February to shut down a site. He works Heavy Equipment....Be safe and have a great time here.......

    Welcome tweak! I've got a couple buddies in the Navy. One is in GA working on submarines, and the other is in MS doing some more school, used to be in ME and would give weather briefings to pilots before takeoff. Hope you enjoy it as much as they do!

    Welcome to the site. For leveling kits look at Rough Country, Rancho, ProCopm or any other brand. There really isn't much to the torsion key swap so they are all basically good. Not to say that I think that any one is better than the next. A suspension lift is something completely different. Choose which one you want but if all you are looking for is to level out your truck get a leveling kit, not a suspension system. Just my thoughts.
    Have fun in the Navy, I was in the Marines and spent many months on those ships. Good times.

    welcome in, my cousin is in pearl harbor right now, and will be there for a few more years.
    2000 silverado with a 5.3l v8, shorty headers, upgraded plugs, 10 mil wires, magnaflow high flow cats, flowmaster 80 series muffler(2 in 2 out) w/ 18 inch stainless silverline tips. i have a k&n CIA. its a 4x4 z71 offroad package. Ls model.
    extended cab 160k miles, truxedo low profile bed cover, diablo sport predator tuner.
    reman tranny @ 130k miles
