Thanks in advance. Not sure if Autozone is the best place. I want a quality rebuilt. tia
I will usually buy from the cheepest as long as it has a life time warranty.

I buy all my auto "needs" at O'Rilley's Auto Parts and have had good luck with them. Napa is also a very good name, speaking of reliability. Good luck!

I know this won't help you out any but I get all of my stuff from a local parts shop that has gotten quite big over the years I think they are up to 5 or 6 locations now in our city, all brand name stuff and I usually get a good price through them too.

Yeah, I'll look for the lifetime warranty, a very good idea. Thanks!
Theoretically, Autozone or a Parts America dealer (Advance Auto, Discount Auto part, shucks, etc) are the last place you want to buy alternators from. You would really want to buy one from a specialy alternator shop or from the dealer. That being said, you could probably buy one from autozone or advance and be just fine, but there's always that chance that it might be bad out of the box or fail shortly after. If you go to an alternator shop you could probably get one that puts out more power than the stocker.

picked one up today from Autozone. $120 with tax and it is a remanufactured delco. I'm back up and running again and ready to hual the sleds up north. Thanks all
All here are extremely good, keep in mind of how far you have to travel, the return policy on items purchased, how well are they stocked with items for your truck/car and what your budget can handle. You do get what you pay for and soem time cheaper is better and sometimes it's not....

I quit buying the cheapest, even if it has a warranty because the cheapest doesn't usually last and I've replaced multiple alternators on the same vehcile before. I look for a decent brand and I just happen to get it as a local shop like AutoZone or O'Reilly's.
