my door locks quit working and i checked the wiring schematic and found that the cig lighter powers the locks, so i replaced the fuse that was blown and the locks worked. Now the cig lighter fuse keeps blowing when i replace it.

sounds like you got yourself a short somewhere in the circuit.im pretty sure you got 3 power sockets, doors locks and the cargo lock switch on that fuse. might be a couple others (refer to schematic). the only way to find the short is to test the components on the circuit. and if its still blowing the fuse then it probably a bare wire shorted on a a piece of metal somewhere.and the only way to find it is to test each wire in a process of elimination.hope this helps and good luck.

Definitely a shorted wire, if the fuse was changed and now it keeps blowing the fuse. Can be any one of the three on the circuit, elminate one at a time. Also checked to see if any one of the wires has rubbed against some metal and it cecame bare. Is it the factory radio or aftermarket? The lighter is in the rack below the area of the radio and some or one wire could have become bare.....
