    Default Need Help

Truck starts but when I put my foot on the brake it stalls. I tried pulling hose off power booster and plugging hose, but the truck still stalls when I put on the brake.
Really would appreciate any ideas, need to get my truck back on the road.
    Thanks

It sure sounds like a bad Booster!! How are your charging system and battery doing??? Check your battery voltage while you turn on everything electrical with the engine at idle!!

Sounds like it might be a bad alternator to me. Just a possibility.

Sounds a lot like a vacuum leak in the brake booster, only when you disconnected the vacuum hose and plugged it shouldnt stall any more.
How is the engine running at idle? What RPMS?
Could be a vacuum leak farther up in the manifold.

maybe it is a stuck egr valve. This happened on my silverado the other night. It would start fine but then would stink really bad. Then cut off. After it did that about 4 times I did about 4,000 rpm rev up and somehow that got it unstuck hopefully this may help...more out of frustration then trying to help it....lol
