Smile Need new Radio any suggestions?

When I bought my 94 Silverado the previous owner had installed an aftermarket stereo system. It's now on dearth's door step and I need to replace it soon. I'm looking for a radio that gets good AM, yeah AM. I would also like it to support either IPOD or XM. I don't need nor what lots of pretty lights, nor will I be listening to anything that requires 8 inch sub woofers. Old school stuff like 70's rock, Jazz and Big Band is my type of music.

So I'm just looking for a reliable AM/ FM radio.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?

I have an Eclpise cd7100. The sound quality is excellent and it has the iPod hook up and Sirius Satellite. They make some great head units. Check out their web site here!

crutchfield.com has always treated me well. I just ordered an alpine deck with free ipod cable(29.95), wiring harness and dashkit all for 129 shipped, I saved almost $70 between the shipping, ipod cable, and install equipment

Sony may have bomb home electronics but I have never heard good things about car audio. Kenwood and clarion both have $80 and lower units that are great. I have had alot of kenwood in my day, and I have a clarion touchscreen in my burban and love it. But to each his own.......

Ya alpines are solid. That eclipse is probably more then what he wants I had the CD7000 and its a pretty amazing head unit. You only need something basic for what you want to do. Like Chevyman said Alpines are always a good choice for CD players.
