when installing a second battery, does the wiring go: positive to positive and negative to negative? or does it go: positive to negative and so on?
for the life of me i cannot remember how to do it so it gives me 12 volts and not 24 voltsi think its positive to positive and negative to negative...

you want to parallel it all, positive to positive, negative to negative...any other way will smoke all the electronics.However, you probably want to install a battery isolator while you're at it to keep the batteries from killing each other due to different battery age and such...
