Im going to sell my ranger this summer in hopes of having a newer GMC/Chevy truck for next winter. I know its hard without pics but I wanted an idea of what my truck is worth. Couldnt find any like mine for sale on ebay or craigslist. So heres the specs.
2001 Ford ranger XLT extended cab 2wd (with ford is actually 1wd)
A/C
Tilt Steering
4 wheel ABS
Trailer electrical plug-in
K&N Air filter
80k miles
Moog balljoints
New battery last year
New plugs
New brakes and rotors 5k ago
Tires are at about %70 tread (all match)
Pioneer 250w 6x9's (4 of them)
JVC mp3/cd/line input cd player
Inside the bed is dented up and the tailgate has paintchips from loading and unloading stuff. The rest of the truck is in great shape inside and out. It will look new under the hood and in the cab when im done cleaning it. No Rust on paint just on frame.

As a trade in, what other options came with the truck? Tilt,A/C? The other options listed make no different to the dealer as your truck is going right to the wholesaler. Whats the Motor/Trans? This may make a difference now with fuel, but doubt it with the miles. So negoiate your price if you can afford to make a deal on the truck you want. Make sure they are aware that "That You Don't Need The Truck", but you are will willing to make a deal for your trade. Do not mention the trade until you have decided on the truck you want and the price with all the rebates, then pull the Trade Card.... If they offer you 1000.00, don't take it and state your trade price, or drop the price of the new truck. Bring financing with you if you can, they hate it....If they have a set price on the truck, then you have a set price on your trade. If you can travel to other dealers as well then do it also, that way you can see what everbodies cards are.... Good Luck....

$4000-$5000 depending on your market I would think
Alright, I took a chance becasue somethings are still missing on your description of the truck and plugged the info into KellyBlueBook.com(KPP.Com) and with a good condition(depends on what dealer defines good) you are looking at 3150.00 for trade in. The low is 2650.00 for fair and 3475.00 for excellent and wit the mirror imperfections that you list your best bet is good. I also took the liberty to pick certian features that were not mentioned in your post, I also used my Zip Code because yours in Not in your profile. So there you have it............Now lets see what the locals have to say with your trade in.

I will probably be selling the truck this summer. I have a motorcycle that I ride for 7-8 months out of the year which is why my miles are lower than they should be. That way I could get top dollar for the ranger and find a good sierra/silverado to buy in the mean time. Thanks for the advice guys!
P.S. Its gunna be nice to only have to take one vehicle when my family goes to their cabin 3 hours north of here. Right now we take a 91 mazda MPV 3 liter with 210,000 miles on it pulling a trailer with 2 quads as well as my truck with a trailer with 2 quads. Now ill be able to take 5 people all their stuff in the bed with a quad and a trailer with 3 more quads on it. Not to mention the 4wd, its gunna be amazing.
