Upper & Lower Strut Spacers (Leveling)
Does anybody know if it is possible to use both upper and lower strut spacers to gain additional height in leveling a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 4wd regular cab?
For example, I have a truxxx 2.5" front leveling kit, but I didn't fully get the height I wanted. In this kit, it contains (3) half inch upper strut spacers which are installed at the top of the strut, and it also contains a one inch lower strut spacer which is installed under the base of the strut. I saw a rough country 2" kit in which the full 2 inches are all lower strut spacers. I was wondering if it would be possible without any problems to remove the truxxx 1" lower strut spacer and replace with the rough country 2" lower strut spacers and still keep the truxxx 1.5" upper strut spacers intact which would result in a net height gained of 3" or possibly 3.5" instead of the 2" or 2.5" from the initial truxxx kit. I really need this extra inch and don't want to spend a couple grand for a full 4" kit.
Thanks a ton for any info, ideas, or help on this.....
