Good afternoon. New member, first post.
Have a 1991 GMC Suburban, 350 TBI
Recently the water pump went out while operating, and therefore spewed coolant throughout the compartment.
Over the weekend, installed new water pump and belt, topped off antifreeze and tested mixture (good to -30 or so) -no leaks so thats good.
Started truck to and it ran as if it was going shut off (*like it was giving itself too much fuel and thus flooding out).
Dried out all the sensors with an air nozzle in case they took in some coolant from the pump malfunction.
After running awhile, the truck seemed to work the problems out. Shut the truck off, and on proceeding starts, it would only run as if it was flooding out for a few seconds and then resume normal idle.
Went to start yesterday and it fired and ran for about 15 seconds than shut off.
-Started again, fire and ran for about 5 seconds than shut off.
--Now it won't start at all. (I assume from the attempted starts that it now is actually flooded)
-Any idea from past experiences on which sensor I should start with and how to check, etc.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
Zach

Someone recently had a similar situation and it turned out to be the coolant temp sensor. Here is a recap of the problems:

Thanks for the fast reply. I just texted a buddy whose friend works at a repair shop. Said the same thing. I just replaced the temp coolant sensor, so at least it's still under warranty. Odd that it would cause that, but lets hope it works
