Does the shop give you any problems with having the aftermarket stuff on it?? Do you think it would be better going with an 07 classic diesel or with the new one??? I think Id have better luck with the 07 but I really like the body style on the new ones...

Before I did any mods to my truck, I asked my service manager about warranty issues. He told me that that the parts that are directly affected by the mod would not be covered (his exact words were "if you put a lift on your truck and you have an issue with a hub, not covered. If you have an injector problem or anything not related to the lift, it's covered"). I also asked him about programmers and he said they are great as long as you return it to the stock tune when bringing it in for service in case they have to re-flash your ECM. He told me a customer had their ECM lock-up and it cost then about $1200 for a new one. I take it in for regular oil changes and service at the dealer and there is never a problem. Somewhere on this site (as well as the SEMA site) there is a Magnuson-Moss act to protect the consumer when warranty issues come into play and the dealer will not cooperate. Here is the LINK So basically, use of a non-carmaker product should not void your warranty unless it caused the problem.

As far as which model to choose (Classic or NBS), They both have pros and cons and since the LBZ and the LMM are some awesome upgraded Duramax's from the earlier generations, you can't go wrong with either one.
