    Welcome to the GMTC, TopNach.

If you look around the forums a little bit there is a lot of great information on the intake. Do a search for Cold Air Intake and you should have enough reading for a day or two.

Welcome to the site! Nice looking truck, bike, ex-Saab. Any aftermarket intake would make an improvement over stock but you should research the difference between metal vs plastic tubes. Although the one you listed is inexpensive, it might not show the gains of a better disigned intake like Volant, K&N, AFE, etc.
You have the right idea though as to get it breathing better at both ends and having it custom tuned.
