KN makes a great product, as many guys/gals on this site wil attest to.

I would reccomend looking on ebay, and craigslist for the best deal

Get a K&N FIPK. Not the metal one because they dont give you as much of a power boost(because its made of metal it heats up). For about 300 bucks if gives you an increase in throttle response and i def. noticed a power boost. I'm also looking forward to the gas millage gains.

I have a K&N on mine. Easy to install. Took me 20 mins. I also did this in 10 degree weather outside. I would suggest not doing this, you know the whole hands freezing factor.....

K&N FIPK. I got mine from 4wheelparts.com Only took around 25 mins to install. And I noticed a power increase . I also had a 1mpg increase.

    Good Luck

    Default S & B Intake

I installed an S & B Intake in my 04' silverado 5.3l about a month ago. Purchased it from Jegs, really clean setup, took about 45 minutes. Goes for about $280 and has a really nice enclosure around the filter. Noticed improvement in horsepower right away, still waiting on the mpg improvement.
