Hey there I've got a 2000 silverado with manual air. I'm concerned about when I turn the knobs because it makes weird noises, almost a clicking sound (it's a hard noise to describe.) Does anyone know what this is indicative of? Thanks.
Its really difficult to guess at the problem by the description you left. I was left wondering which knob makes the noise. I would guess it would be the blower knob and if thats the case does it sound as if something small is being kicked around by the fan blades?
Leaves, ear rings, pencial parts, you'd be suprised what you can find in the defrost vent

I only hear the sound when I'm turning the knobs and for a few seconds shortly thereafter. It doesn't matter which knob I turn. Almost sounds like a car with a dead battery trying to start. An electrical clicking is the best way I can explain it.
DON'T FIX IT IF IT AIN'T BROK. IF IT'S BROK - FIX RIGHT AWAY.

Cool thanks I think you're right. I guess I just never noticed it in my mustang so much.
