I was out running errands yesterday in my '08 and I looked down at the speedo and I was going 120mph
I came to a stop and it only went down to 40. I tried turning off the truck and restarting it, but even with the truck off the needle still didn't go lower than 40. Once I got home, I was able to fix it by reseating the instrment cluster fuse. The problem thankfully hasn't come back, but it was still a little disconcerting, considering the truck only has 2500 miles on it. I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this issue?
i dont have that problem with my sierra.... if the happen again take it to the leadership where u bought it

sit id be happy to hit 120 in my truckbest i got so far was the limiter 95...but had tons of rpm to keep going :(
It happend to my 03 silverado, had to get a whole new cluster. now its happening to my wifes 03 yukon. I just have to suck it up and get a new one.![]()
what is it with these clusters???????????![]()
i dont know man...i got a letter in the mail about a recall on them, and they said nothing about mileage or anything...but of course my mileage was too high...it also said you know if you already had yours replaced, that they would reimberse..i was stoked cause i paid like 500 bucks to get a new one plus installation. I would like just to be able to fix the little bitty motor but they say just go ahead and buy a new one. it totally freaking sucks!
WE have a 05 silverado here at work...nothing but problems with the whole dash...were they sleeping on the assy line????or worse![]()
Seems like the issue is getting passed on from generation to generation.
