Has anyone used coil spring spacers to level their Silverado? I eventually want to level my truck and I do not want to go the torsion bar route. What are the disadvantages to the spacers? Will my factory ride firmness change? Re-alignment nescessary? Thanks.2005 Silverado 1500 LS Z71. Extended Cab Shortbed. L33 5.3, 4.10.

I have the 2inch Daystar Coil spacers on my 04 ..
Got em from suspensionconnection.com for 140.00 w shipping..
They dont mess with factory ride but you do need to eventually replace your shocks (I havent yet)
You also do have to get it alligned after doing this.Ryan

Whats the reason for having to replace the shocks?

The point of getting new shocks is the old ones will be maxed out. You would get longer shocks to allow the correct amount of travel for a nicer ride.

if its a 4x4 it most likely has torsion bars, not coil springs. so, you will have to go with new torsion bar keysPETE

I've got a 2wd. So any shock that allows for a 2" lift will do?
