    Default Empty spot in dash

I just bought a 2005 ext. cab Silverado 1500. It has the front bench seats with fold up arm rest. There is a slanted "hole" in the dash right next to the ash tray. To me it looks like there should be something there. Maybe a drop down door or a cover. It is about 6-7 inches wide I guess, and it slants towards the firewall as it goes down. I just wonder what this is for. Does anyone know?
    Thanks.

I am pretty sure that is where some accessory switches go. Things like traction contrrol, pedal adjustment, heated wiper fluid and such. I don't believe there is a drop down door or cover that fits there.

What are you thinking man? Change goes in the ash tray it falls out of cubby holes when you're upside down and whatnot.

Unfortunatly my brake controller did not fit there behind there is the ducting for floor vents, I use it to hold the remote for my stereo.
