i have a 95 gmc sonoma its a stick when i get to about 40 in 4th gear it starts to make a vibrating sound with small shake i have replaced all plugs wires one coil pack still had same prob then alt went bad replaced that and new battery still had same issues then i noticed fuel gauge jumping alot so i figured fuel filter might be clogged so i replaced that and now i am still having same probloms shaking and vibrating at 40 to 50 and fuel gauge is still jumping not sure what to check next 1st through 3rd all shift fine and i dont hear anynoise so dont think its the tranny any help would be greatly app.![]()

Balancing on tires could be off, also if your rotors are warped bad enough you can feel it, your drive shaft could be off balance too. Can you feel it more in your foot on the gas or brake pedal, your butt or your hands on the wheel

I agree with the tire balance issue. It sounds like a harmonic vibration, some moving part or parts are vibrating after a certain speed or rpm has been hit. Start with the tires then maybe take a look at the fly wheel and axle. I'm not convinced that the fuel gauge is a factor with this issue.
